C?cile and Samira can't pay their high price rent in their Paris apartment. While walking down the street the two girls see an art gallery opening and flirt their way in. In attendance are Michel, a very sucessful lawyer, and his wife Viviane, the artist of the gallery. While Samira stuffs her face at the buffet table, C?cile steals some wallets from coats in the coat closet. The girls are thrown out after being discovered they don't belong. Michel notices his wallet is missing.
The girls then try to rob a Chinese jeweller but there's a confertation. C?cile escapes, but Samira is arrested. C?cile needs to find a lawyer. She finds Michel's card in his wallet they stole.
Michel agrees to take the case, since C?cile comes from the same poor neighbourhood he worked his way out of. The jealous Viviane suspects her husband has another reason. C?cile's old boyfriend Vincent provides her an alibi for the robbery. His testimony gets C?cile acquitted and he wants her back. C?cile comes to Michel's office to thank him. She can only repay him for his services, by offering some services of her own.
